Yakima Maker Space Gallery
The aspiration of the Yakima Maker Space Gallery is to promote the missing “A” in S.T.E.M. Education, by promoting artists that showcase the intersection of making, technology and fine art as part of their process and/or finished work.  Whether it is the technology of making paints and binders, the science of camera obscura, or the cultural significance of the ready-made,  Art is a cornucopia of technology, traditions and cultural relevance.

YMS has been hosting public art exhibitions in our gallery since April 2016. Gallery receptions are a wonderful opportunity for our members and the public to get together for a good time and engage in spirited social discourse.  The space uses these events to reach out to the public and raise the profile of the Arts in Yakima as well as the maker movement in general. Members are encouraged to use gallery events to meet and connect with other members in our community.
