Goals of class are to give students a better understanding of the advantages as well as complexities of CNC operation and why good design is important to the efficient execution of their CAD designs. Successful completion of workshop will give students a basic understanding of YMS shopbot operation and overview of vcarve pro software.

Class will review an existing design file, build tools paths for the design, review the g-code and then execute the operation of that file. Objective is to provide a working understanding of CNC operation and production. The class will then assemble cut materials to illustrate the power of design to production using the YMS Shopbot.

Class is open to YMS Members Only.

To keep cost of class and project down, casters are not included in the price and can be purchased by students at local hardware store if they chose to add them.
