What is a Creative District?

  • Wed, August 25, 2021
  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Seasons Performance Hall

A Creative District is a fun place to live, work, and visit. It is a geographically defined area in your city that is recognized by the state to promote cultural  activity.

Seasons Performance Hall will be hosting the last of Heath Lambe's community conversation about what a creative district would look like in downtown Yakima. If you haven't made it to the past events please make sure to attend this one, if you have been to past a event please make sure to attend this event so you can share your thoughts with our community.

Heath will give a brief overview of what the Yakima Art Commission does and list some opportunities for artists, then will give a short presentation on what a creative district might look like, and start a community conversation about the project.

Your input is needed!!!

All are welcome, with a special call to artists, e.g. painters, musicians, sculptures, ceramic artists, designers, etc.  Please come tell us what your needs are to be successful and how a creative district might be just the thing for you.
