Introduction to Sewing - Sew a Tote Bag

This class is intended for nervous beginners who know the basics of sewing, but want a more gentle introduction to a first sewing project. During this class we will be practicing sewing techniques by sewing a simple, lined tote bag. The techniques and practice will be applicable to future garment sewing projects. During this class we will: Cut out fabric by accurately measuring, marking and cutting Learn how to pin fabric together for successful sewing Practice different seam allowances Sew straight lines Finish a tote bag At the end of the class you will have completed your tote bag project and will be confident in your ability to tackle a simple garment!
