Welcome to Yakima Maker Space's Cyanotype Workshop with our talented instructor Lexi! In this workshop, you'll learn how to create striking blue photographs by hand using an old printing process that involves exposing light-sensitive paper to sunlight. You'll be amazed by the characteristically white & cyan coloring, stunning highlights, and a blueprint aesthetic that your artwork will have.

During the workshop, you'll get to arrange your own image and then coat the paper with a light-sensitive solution. Then, while waiting for it to expose outdoors, you'll coat 2 extra papers to keep for at-home printing. Our instructor Lexi will guide you through the entire process, sharing tips and tricks to help you create the most beautiful cyanotype prints.

No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. Just bring your creativity and willingness to learn, and you'll leave the workshop with a newfound appreciation for this old printing process and your own unique piece of cyanotype art. Join us at Yakima Maker Space and experience the magic of cyanotype printing!
