✨ WALL ALTARS WORKSHOP ✨

Create a personal ceramic wall altar inspired by traditions of remembrance, reflection, and storytelling from cultures around the world.

I first discovered wall altars during a ceramic workshop in Todos Santos, Mexico, taught by Stephanie Friedman of Rogue Valley Pottery Studios. Since then, I’ve been inspired by the many creative ways ceramic artists interpret this meaningful tradition. - Charlie Brooks, Instructor

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

DAY 1 — BUILD

Handbuild your ceramic wall altar while exploring personal symbols, memories, texture, and form.

Your altar will be bisque fired between sessions and ready for surface decoration on Day 2.

DAY 2 — EMBELLISH & GLAZE

Use underglazes to add color, imagery, and surface design, then complete your piece with glaze.

BEFORE CLASS

Look online for inspiration and bring sketches, ideas, or meaningful themes you’d like to incorporate into your altar.

All skill levels welcome!

Please note: No refunds once registered.
